Burundi Kavungunga

  • Story

It has been a while since we have bought a burundi, but this year we were able to find a coffee that truly zinged. So this is a celebration here at Tectonic as I introduce this coffee to you and to my staff!

    Here is what we know:

Established in 2008 Kavungangoma, which means “the sound of the drums,” is a washing station with some impressive stats. Richard’s busy lifestyle and efforts in humanitarian endeavours include his compostable toilets that have had a huge impact on sanitation throughout the region... but more on coffee.

    Quickly here are some stats

    1667 members, aka farmers
    16 fermentation tanks
    4 soaking tanks
    200 drying tables
Warehousing for 100 tons of parchment
    Waste treatment
    Solar Energy
    Filtered drinking water

We think you will love this coffee and love supporting a region that has climbed out of genside and internal turmoil to do good for one and for all.

As always let us know what you think on the socials!

    Cheers

    Deaton
