Elevation: 1,720, coffee comes from higher elevations
It has been a while since we have bought a Burundi, but this year we were able to find a coffee that truly zinged. So this is a celebration here at Tectonic as I introduce this coffee to you and to my staff!
Here is what we know:
Established in 2008 Kavungangoma, which means “the sound of the drums,” is a washing station with some impressive stats. Richard’s busy lifestyle and efforts in humanitarian endeavours include his compostable toilets that have had a huge impact on sanitation throughout the region... but more on coffee.
Quickly here are some stats
1667 members, aka farmers
16 fermentation tanks
4 soaking tanks
200 drying tables
Warehousing for 100 tons of parchment
Filtered drinking water
We think you will love this coffee and love supporting a region that has climbed out of genside and internal turmoil to do good for one and for all.
As always let us know what you think on the socials!
