Story
If our numbers are right this will be the last of the current crop from Ethiopia to tie us over until a new crop lands in the coming months. The region Oromia is famed for being the place where farmer Kaldi, who was attending to his Goats saw them eating the cherries from a coffee tree and noted that they became quite “frisky”.
So much so that he took said fruits and roasted them over a fire to create the first known brew of coffee around 400 AD, so the fable goes.
There are 250 farmers that produce coffee in the surrounding area and all of them contribute to the coops cherry, aka coffee that you are drinking today.
We hope you love the last offering of the 2021 harvest as much as we do and please make sure to let us know.
Best.
