From Australian coffee roots to roasting in Los Angeles, Tectonic’s first ten years have been shaped by travel, community, relationships, and a lot of good coffee along the way.

Tectonic begins

With zero customers and plenty of belief, Deaton roasted samples of Shift Blend, Tectonic Blend, and two single origin coffees, then hit the streets of Los Angeles. The response was immediate. Within weeks, Tectonic was roasting 500 pounds of coffee every week.
