Banko Chelchele - Natural

  • Story

The Battle of the processes continue, this time we have a coop coffee and a micro lot from a single farmer going head to head. Which coffee will you choose to move forward into the Master Blend?

This is a really cool treat for our inner core members. We have found a micro-lot coffee out of Ethiopia that is quite remarkable. Not only is it an exceptional cup of coffee, its showcasing one farmer!

Most of the coffee that comes out of Ethiopia comes from co-ops where 500 to 2500 members can contribute. This is a first for us at Tectonic and we are really excited about it! After almost a decade of buying through co-ops we are stoked about this micro-lot!

So this is what we know.

Wondimu Unu, has been cultivating coffee for 15 years, but this is the first year that he has been able to sell his coffee as a micro-lot. The cup quality itself represents the high level of work he has put into this lot, including how he carefully dries the full cherry in thin layers on raised beds.

Let’s celebrate Wondimu’s coffee and appreciate the hard work he puts in to support his family of 4 boys and 4 girls.

Don't forget to rate this coffee so we can finally put to rest the debate over process, Washed vs Naturals.
