For eight consecutive years, we’ve celebrated the exceptional coffees of Finca La Tanairi, a testament to the dedication and expertise of Moises and Marysabel Caballero. Their deep connection to the land of Xinacla, Honduras, continues to yield extraordinary coffees, crafted with meticulous care and an unwavering commitment to quality. This year, we are excited to introduce you to three remarkable lots: Lot #28L, Catuai Washed; Lot #28L, Catuai Natural; and Lot #28D, Geisha, starting with Lot #28O.

Moises and Marysabel Caballero have been cultivating coffee in the rich soils of Xinacla, Honduras, at an elevation of 1550 meters, creating a legacy of excellence. Their dedication to sustainable practices and direct trade relationships has not only transformed their farm but also uplifted the local community, fostering growth and education.

Lot #28O showcases the natural process, where cherries are dried with their fruit intact. This method enhances the coffee's body and sweetness, creating a complex cup with notes of tropical fruits, ripe berries, and a hint of chocolate. The natural process is a labor of love, requiring careful monitoring and turning of the cherries to ensure even drying, capturing the essence of the terroir and the meticulous care of the farmers.

The partnership between Tectonic Coffee and the Caballeros is more than just business; it's a bond forged over years of collaboration and mutual respect. Since first meeting Moises and Marysabel in 2010, we have witnessed the transformative power of direct trade. Our ongoing support for educational projects in Xinacla and the growth of the Caballeros' family reflects the depth of this relationship.

We invite you to immerse yourself in the rich narrative of La Tanairi, to savor the fruits of Moises and Marysabel's labor, and to become part of a legacy that celebrates quality, sustainability, and community. Stay tuned as we continue to share more about other exciting offerings from La Tanairi and head to our blog to read more.
